Manpower is URGENTLY hiring for a Maintenance Technician for a plant in Aiken SC!
2nd Shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Monday through Friday
Overtimes hours/days: 3:00pm to 1:00am Monday through Saturday
Pay rate starts around $20 an hour but will pay more based on experience
Perform maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Operations Manager.
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, stretching, prolonged standing, and working in confined spaces and at aerial platform heights. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds continuously throughout an 8 hour shift. Requires normal vision and hearing range. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Duties include:
- Reading and interpreting engineering blue prints and schematics.
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience in medium electrical circuitry, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics,mechanics, and the discipline of lock- out/ tag- out.
- Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
- Determines malfunctions or machine damage. Dismantles machine, removes machine parts, repairs, lubricates, etc., and reassembles machine according to specifications.
- Transports machine parts, tools, equipment and other material between work area and storage, using forklift if necessary.
- Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
- Assists in setting up new machinery and solving production problems.
- Oversee and maintain good records for the preventative problems.
- Preform duties in a safe manner with attention and adherence to safety procedures and productivity of all associates.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Post High School training in disciplines listed above (mechanics, plumbing, hydraulics, electricity) required. Previous experience in machine maintenance in a factory environment preferred.
Skills/Performance Requirements:
- Forklift operation preferred.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Steel toed shoes/boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection are required in production areas. Other appropriate PPE, such as gloves, may be required.
