POSITION SUMMARY
The End of Line Associate is responsible for performing weight checks, quality inspections and packaging of fiber material coming off the production line
JOB FUNCTIONS
Weigh and package ceramic fiber blanket rolls in various packaging configurations.
Erect cartons and ensure each carton is properly labeled.
Meet established production and quality standards.
Operate material handling equipment such as a hand truck and pallet jack.
Clean work area and perform other related tasks as assigned.
Report unsafe conditions to the Line Operator, Lead Operator or Factory Focus Manager and take action to prevent accidents and injuries.
Report malfunctions of equipment and deficiencies in processes.
Inform Line Operator and document any visual or quality defects in the final product.
Completes Production sheets and verifies that all labeling and packaging are correct according to the set-up sheet.
Complete Take-5 Risk assessment and/or Pre-Flight Check lists at the beginning of each shift.
Maintain good relations within the unit and comply with Company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
GED/High School Diploma preferred.
Minimum 6 months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Willing to be cross- trained in other positions within Standard Fiber.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Understanding and knowledge of reading basic measuring devices such as a tape measure.
Ability to work cohesively within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
SCHEDULE DESCRIPTION
The typical schedule for this position is a rotating 12-hour shift schedule which includes nights, weekends. Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
