Location: Eagan, MN

Shift: 8:30PM - 4:30AM, Monday - Friday REQUIRED OT may possibly work up to 7 days a week. TRAINING ON 2ND SHIFT FOR A MONTH OR SO (11AM-7:30PM)

Pay: $22.00/hr

Employment Type: Full time, trial to hire!

About this Opportunity: Atlas Staffing has partnered with a family-owned food company in the state specializing in cakes, icings, pizzas, and other products used in restaurants and bakeries around the world.

Client is looking for a Material Handler is responsible for shipping, receiving and transporting packaging, ingredients, and finished goods for the facility

Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack and a sit-down forklift.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment and material handling.

  • Maintain forklifts by daily inspecting batteries, water levels, lights, horn, tires, mirrors, oil levels, backup beep indicators, etc.

  • Verify all deliveries/discrepancies by inspecting materials through physically counting and comparing the amount printed on the delivery receipt. Enter necessary documentation of delivery receipts or material handling into the company’s computer system.

  • Organize/rotate old materials with new.

  • Housekeeping: daily remove/fix any dirty, torn, hanging, broken wood, packaging, ingredients etc.

  • Assist management with inventory balances through physical cycle counts.

  • Label any open/partial ingredient and packaging.

  • Check production schedules daily to stage packaging and ingredients if needed.

What makes you a great fit:

  • One year work experience in manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Ability to work up to 7 days a week, if needed.

  • Able to operate an electric pallet jack and a sit-down forklift.

  • Able to work under temperature from -30°F to 105°F

  • Enter necessary documentation of delivery receipts or material handling into the company’s computer system

  • able to stand on feet for a duration of up to 13 hours,

  • able to handle a moderate degree of physical activity including continuous standing for 10-13 hours, frequent walking, bending and reaching

  • Food safety and chemical safety training/experience preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Reliable with strong work ethic
