Shift: 6:45am – 4:00pm, Monday – Thursday 6:45am-12pm Fridays
Pay: $25-$35/hr

About this Opportunity:
Atlas Staffing has partnered with a growing manufacturer of machined and assembled components using the CNC machine technologies including Swiss CNC, Mori Seiki Lathes, Mills and Multi-Spindle Automatic Machines
Our client is looking for experienced quality inspectors to join their team to operate and maintain Quality Control Inspection equipment calibration while assuring the inspection of parts from each operator during production. As a QC Inspector, you will be responsible for making rounds throughout the shop as well as working in the inspection room to check parts for first acceptance as well as quality checks during production before the parts ship. You may also use your experience to train operators on how best to use their measuring instruments to inspect their parts for accuracy.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts to verify conformance to customer and internal specifications.

Operate Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) for detailed dimensional inspections.

Use precision tools such as optical comparators, profilometers, height stands, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauge pins to perform accurate measurements.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection plans.

Document inspection results clearly and accurately using inspection reports.

Identify, document, and communicate non-conformances to appropriate personnel for review and corrective action.

Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.

Work collaboratively with machinists, engineers, and quality staff to resolve quality concerns.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
What makes you a great fit:

2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.

Proficient in operating Zeiss CMMs (Calypso experience preferred).

Strong understanding of measurement principles, surface finish, and dimensional tolerances.

Able to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T symbols.

Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
