Location: Chaska, MN
Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday
Pay: $24.00 - 28.00 /hr
Employment Type: Full-time, trial to hire!
About this Opportunity:
We have partnered with a leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specializing in custom water treatment systems, offering cost-effective and reliable solutions for industrial, municipal, and ultrapure water applications.
The role primarily entails performing TIG welding on stainless steel pipe per engineered drawings or work orders, occasionally using other metals and welding methods.
What You'll Be Doing:

Prepares and welds metal parts by cutting, grinding, laying out, and positioning workpieces

Positions parts in fixtures and clamps on the work bench and/or floor while using supporting stands to secure the part being worked on.

Creates jigs when production quantities determine a need.

Repairs broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes, and builds up metal parts.

Lays out, positions, and tack welds workpieces.

Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.

What makes you a great fit?

One-year certificate from college or technical school; three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to become ASME certified during the first few weeks. Candidate must be able to pass a 3" 304 sch. 40 6g pipe test and a ½" 304 sch. 10 6g pipe test.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
