Pay Rate/Range: $14/hr
Description:
The Planner is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work within or between departments to meet daily and weekly production schedules. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an in-depth understanding of company processes. The Planner plays a key role in ensuring on-time delivery, efficient scheduling, and accurate communication across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and verify customer purchase orders for accuracy and compliance with OEM specifications.
• Utilize OEM specifications to interpret customer processing instructions and create detailed job schedules.
• Plan and prepare production schedules, establishing sequence and lead times to meet customer shipping requirements.
• Monitor and adjust schedules to address changes such as job splits, rework, or unexpected delays.
• Coordinate workflow between departments to ensure timely completion of production goals.
• Work closely with the shipping and receiving departments to maintain smooth job flow.
• Communicate regularly with internal departments to provide updates and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Maintain accurate records and perform general clerical duties to support planning activities.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Three years of planning experience, ideally within manufacturing or aerospace, is highly desired. Must possess strong problem-solving and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is required, along with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shift/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm
