Pay Rate/Range: $25-30/hr
Description: The primary purpose of the Maintenance Electrician is to maintain and repair all existing electrical systems and install or assist with installation of all new electrical systems, new equipment, facility repairs and upgrades.

Properly maintain the facility electrical systems, thus enabling operations to meet production demands by focusing on continuous improvement and development.

Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automated machinery and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls and other equipment.

Maintain a high level of urgency when assisting with trouble calls.

Complete all installations, PM’s and other maintenance through documentation of work orders and if needed the downtime log. Discuss all repairs with Operators, Production Managers, Engineering Supervisor, and engineers to ensure customers’ needs are fulfilled.

Coordinate trouble response efforts and the need to complete p.m. tasks in a timely manner, with fellow engineers and the production schedule to maximize uptime.

Communicate with Engineering Team Leaders, Production Managers, Production Associates, and fellow Engineers when performing work in production areas.

Communicate with the Engineering Parts Coordinator to insure adequate parts inventory Provide descriptions, part #’s, quantities, and time lines when needed. Promote a safe and clean working environment by following clean as you go procedures.

Attend and participate in all Engineering, safety, etc. meetings and activities.

Continue to promote and utilize the Enterprise Asset Management System by following all 7I procedures and expanding individual use of the system.

Ensure that all safety procedures and guidelines are properly adhered to.
Job Requirements:
-
A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.

Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, O.E.M. instructions and specifications.

Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills and have a thorough understanding of: Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams, electrical system layouts, electrical code, conduit routing, bending and the operation of manual, electric and hydraulic benders, wiring devices, Arc Flash and 70E regulations, basic industrial electrical troubleshooting.

Ability to quickly prioritize service calls in order to minimize downtime.

Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with operations in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.

Willing to work overtime as needed.
High school diploma or GED required. 2 + years of experience as an electrical service technician or in an industrial repair environment with emphasis on electrical wiring and systems.
