We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our client's dynamic engineering team near Camby!

This company has been in business worldwide for over 30 years and provides magnetic components at a world-class level of service.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components for various projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and the delivery of high-quality electrical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design transformers and other magnetic components based on customer requirements

  • Communicate project requirements across multiple departments

  • Travel and visit customers as needed

  • Conduct electrical calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

  • Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to define project objectives, specifications, and timelines.

  • Select and procure electrical components and equipment based on project requirements and cost-effectiveness.

  • Develop and review technical documentation, such as specifications, reports, and user manuals.

  • Perform tests and evaluations to verify the performance and functionality of electrical systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations throughout the design and implementation process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related experience

  • Experience in the electronics industry

  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD modeling, especially AutoCAD and PTC CREO

  • Understanding of analog circuits

  • Strong technical communication skills, verbal and written

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete in a timely manner

  • Team-oriented attitude Ability to take on additional responsibilities and learn new skills as needed

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of power electronics, especially isolated switch-mode power supplies

  • Inductor and Transformer design knowledge

  • Spice model knowledge is highly desirable
