American Workforce Group has partnered with a respected financial services agency in Olympia, WA looking for an Accounting Supervisor!

Description for Accounting Supervisor:
• Supervise, lead, and mentor accounting staff
• Manage accounts payable, including agency bill companies and vendor payables
• Process payroll accurately and timely
• Review, report, and process accounts receivable, including collections as needed
• Analyze financial data related to assets, liabilities, and capital
• Prepare financial statements and reports for current and projected fiscal performance
• Review monthly financial reports for proper general ledger coding
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory reporting standards
• Administer policies for employee pension, retirement, and benefit plans
• Oversee reports, records, and compliance for local, state, and federal agencies
• Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial health of the agency
• Evaluate and improve accounting-related processes
• Perform other accounting and supervisory duties as assigned
Details for Accounting Supervisor:
• Pay: $6,000–$6,500/month
• Schedule: Full-time
• Shift Hours: Day shift (Monday – Friday)
Requirements for Accounting Supervisor:
• Associate of Arts or higher in Accounting or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or similar field
• Insurance brokerage experience a plus
• Intermediate or higher QuickBooks skills
• Basic or higher MS Office proficiency
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Must be 18+ years old due to labor regulations
• Must pass pre-employment background check, drug/alcohol screening, and physical
• Ability to apply basic algebra/geometry and financial calculations (interest, discounts, etc.)
• Strong written communication and reporting skills
• Strategic thinker with effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Must be able to complete minimal local travel using a personal vehicle
