American Workforce Group has partnered with a well-established manufacturing facility in Kent, WA that is seeking a skilled Machine Shop Lead to oversee daily machining operations, support quoting processes, and mentor a team of machinists.

Description for Machine Shop Lead:
- Expert-level CNC programming using MasterCAM 2025 - MUST
- Collaborate directly with sales to quote jobs and estimate run times
- Lead, assist, and train a team of CNC machinists
- Design custom tooling and fixtures as needed
- Maintain and order tooling inventory and supplies
- Support AS9100 audits and ensure documentation compliance
- Machine tight-tolerance, high-value parts using exotic alloys
- Maintain and manage a team
- Have inventory ordering skills, and be able to learn
Details for Machine Shop Lead:
- Pay: $48.00/hour
- Location: Kent, WA
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Shift Hours: Day Shift (exact hours discussed at interview)

Requirements for Machine Shop Lead:
- 5+ years CNC Programming experience
- 8+ years hands-on machining experience (mill & lathe)
- Proficient in G & M codes, GD&T
- Strong blueprint reading and setup documentation skills
- Tool selection, fixture design, feeds & speeds expertise
- Experience with Stainless, Aluminum, Titanium, Nickel, and other exotic alloys
- Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs
- Stand, stoop, bend, and pull throughout the shift
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Some background restrictions may apply
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
