Executive Assistant
Location: Port Richey, FL
Pay Range: $21.11
Schedule: Full-time
Employment Type: Temporary with potential to become permanent for the right candidate
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the operations of a large, complex department. This position is responsible for managing a wide range of administrative tasks and serves as a key liaison between department leadership, internal staff, and external contacts.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct administrative support to the department director
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements
Take meeting minutes and prepare reports and correspondence
Screen and direct calls and visitors appropriately
Track requests, maintain files, and process purchasing and travel documentation
Coordinate closely with Human Resources and outside vendors
Handle confidential documents with discretion
Support budget preparation and day-to-day office operations
Qualifications:
Associate degree with 2 years of clerical or secretarial experience, or
High school diploma/equivalency with 4 years of relevant experience
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with systems such as Munis, NeoGov, Civic Clerk, or Publisher is a plus
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license
Additional Details:
This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent placement based on performance and client needs
Candidates may be required to work during emergency response or recovery periods
