About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the operations of a large, complex department. This position is responsible for managing a wide range of administrative tasks and serves as a key liaison between department leadership, internal staff, and external contacts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct administrative support to the department director

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements

  • Take meeting minutes and prepare reports and correspondence

  • Screen and direct calls and visitors appropriately

  • Track requests, maintain files, and process purchasing and travel documentation

  • Coordinate closely with Human Resources and outside vendors

  • Handle confidential documents with discretion

  • Support budget preparation and day-to-day office operations

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree with 2 years of clerical or secretarial experience, or

  • High school diploma/equivalency with 4 years of relevant experience

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Familiarity with systems such as Munis, NeoGov, Civic Clerk, or Publisher is a plus

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills

  • Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license

  • This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent placement based on performance and client needs

  • Candidates may be required to work during emergency response or recovery periods
