Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring the timely availability of materials for daily operations and emergency requests. This is a temporary position with an opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pull and stage orders for various divisions’ daily workload and emergency requests.
  • Receive and stock inventory while verifying accuracy and adherence to required specifications.
  • Review inventory items to confirm they meet specifications and check if they are on order.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts of specific bin number ranges to maintain proper inventory accuracy.
  • Perform annual physical inventory.
  • Maintain inventory bin locations and overflow areas to ensure appropriate stock levels.
  • Notify the supervisor of any shortages to initiate the procurement process.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Protect inventory security by adhering to established security procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably “Maximo.”
  • Knowledge of underground utilities and plumbing.
  • At least 1 year of experience with material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Familiarity with basic warehousing, inbound and outbound shipping, and computerized inventory control systems.
  • Basic computer skills.
