We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our dynamic construction team. As a Framer, you will play a crucial role in the building process, responsible for constructing the wooden frameworks that form the skeleton of buildings. This position requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of building codes, and the ability to interpret blueprints and architectural plans. You will work in various settings, from residential homes to commercial buildings, ensuring that each structure is both safe and aesthetically pleasing. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and the physical stamina necessary for the demanding nature of construction work. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our projects, as you will collaborate closely with other trades, ensuring that framing aligns seamlessly with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Responsibilities: 

  • Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to determine specifications and materials required for the frame. 

  • Measure, cut, and shape materials according to specifications using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. 

  • Construct framing and structural builds, including walls, floors, and roofs, ensuring they are square and level. 

  • Install windows, doors, and interior framework according to design specifications and building codes. 

  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure the framing integrates well with other systems and trades. 

  • Inspect framing for any defects or structural issues during and after construction, addressing any problems promptly. 

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations during framing activities. 

  • All other job duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

  • Proven experience as a Framer or in a similar construction role. 

  • Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods, including framing, roofing, and flooring. 

  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction. 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. 

  • Excellent physical condition and stamina, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in work. 

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team or independently. 

  • Pre-employment background check and drug screen required. 

 

Job Type: Full time, Monday through Friday – weekends and overtime as needed
