As a Yard Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations across multiple construction sites. You will be responsible for managing the yard area, organizing materials, and providing support to our field teams. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure will be essential in this dynamic role. This position offers the opportunity to be an integral part of the construction process and contribute to the successful completion of projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize materials in the yard to ensure easy access and load/unload trailers with equipment (forklift, etc.)
  • Support field staff with material delivery, equipment setup, and other on-site tasks
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the timely delivery of construction materials
  • Maintain inventory records and track usage to prevent shortages
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in the yard area
  • Assist in the preparation of job sites for work and clean-up activities
  • Collaborate directly with supervisors to meet project requirements


Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the construction industry
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills to interact with multiple team members and suppliers
  • Balance competing demands and plan a schedule to meet requests for assistance from multiple site supervisors
  • Knowledge of construction materials and equipment
  • Understanding of safety regulations and practices in a construction setting
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary


Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday 

Wage: $25-$30.00/hr DOE
