We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Shuttle Driver to provide safe and courteous transportation services for senior citizens. The Shuttle Driver will be responsible for transporting residents to and from appointments, errands, and activities in a comfortable and secure manner. This position requires a commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to interact professionally with elderly individuals. Opportunities for cross-training in dispatch, scheduling, and phone operations are available for motivated individuals.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicles to transport senior residents to various destinations, including medical appointments, shopping centers, recreational activities, and other locations as needed.
Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort. This may include assisting with walkers, wheelchairs, or other mobility devices.
Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, ensuring it is in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating patience, empathy, and respect towards all passengers.
Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger information.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
Assist with other duties as assigned, such as light vehicle maintenance or cleaning.
Learn and perform dispatch, scheduling, and phone duties as needed.
Requirements
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to assist passengers with mobility devices.
Punctuality and reliability are essential.
Must be able to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
