We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Lead Carpenter to join our construction team. This role combines expert-level carpentry with leadership and project coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a dependable, well-rounded professional who thrives in both commercial and residential construction settings, possesses a wide range of trade skills, and excels at supervising teams and communicating with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced carpentry tasks including framing, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, drywall, and finish work
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Ensure all work meets code, safety standards, and company quality expectations
  • Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Supervise and coordinate daily site activities and crew members
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors
  • Ensure materials, tools, and labor are properly scheduled and available
  • Proactively identify and solve job site issues, minimizing delays and cost overruns
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and logistics
  • Track job progress and report to management
  • Help maintain accurate documentation, including timesheets, change orders, and daily reports
  • Uphold site cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols
  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced carpentry skills and experience leading a team or in a supervisory role
  • Strong background in both commercial and residential construction
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, layout, framing, and finish carpentry
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • OSHA certification and other trade-related certifications a plus
