Position Overview:
- They will conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, medical equipment, tractors, forklifts, spyders, and trailers.
Position Description:
- Ensure the operation of machinery, mechanical equipment, tractors, forklifts, spyders, and trailers by completing preventative maintenance requirements on engines, motors, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
- Review forklift inspection sheets and take necessary actions.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation and listening for problems.
- Repair machines, equipment, structures, engines, tractor trailers, forklifts, spyders, and trailers as necessary.
- Work effectively with other team members in a loud and fast-paced environment.
- Understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain building, electrical, and equipment repairs for the facility.
- Perform building, lighting, and plumbing repairs for the facility as needed.
- Conduct maintenance on tractors, forklifts, spyders, and trailers.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by responding to questions and requests.
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to maintain continuity among work teams.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with established procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results as needed.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1 – 2 years of related experience Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed.
- May be required to drive to other facilities.
- They are regularly required to stand, walk, use their hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with their hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently required to sit.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration and fine particle sawdust.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Schedule & Pay Rate:
- (1st shift) Monday - Friday | 6am - 2:30pm
