Welder

Job Overview: Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, and building and bridge parts by performing the following duties. Position Description: - Select equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding - Lay out, positions, aligns, and fits components together - Bolts, clamps and track-welds part to secure in position for welding - Set up equipment and welds parts in normal position and out of positions; such as vertical plate and tubular connections, using arc, gas--shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment - Assemble parts by bolting and riveting - Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. - Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: - High school graduate or equivalent - Must take a welding test - Basic ability to read, write, and speak in English. - Strong Math skills - Must be able to stand/walk for an extended period of time - Must be able to lift 30 lbs. on a frequent basis
