Welder

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Saturday if needed)
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $22.00 (DOE)

Position Description:

• Perform TIG welding operations to join metal components accurately, following blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions

• Set up and adjust TIG welding equipment, including selecting appropriate welding rods, gas flow, and voltage settings for various materials and thicknesses

• Clean and prepare welding surfaces by removing debris, rust, and other impurities to ensure proper weld adhesion

• Position and secure workpieces using clamps, jigs, or fixtures to maintain alignment during the welding process

• Inspect welds visually and with non-destructive testing methods to identify defects and ensure conformance to quality standards

• Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in welding is preferred

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder or in a similar welding role, demonstrating proficiency in TIG welding techniques on various materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately

• Strong knowledge of different welding processes and the ability to select appropriate welding methods based on material type and thickness

• Skill in operating and adjusting TIG welding equipment, including the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues

• Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various positions during welding
