This job description defines the framework within which the job holder carries out the responsibilities assigned. Target of the position: This individual will have the responsibility of movement of materials within the Atlanta facility without damage to product or company property. The individual will assist in preparation of stock for daily customer shipments as well as to receive incoming product. 2. Responsibility: • Assure compliance with Quality Policy & Guidelines and the procedures of the TS16949 based Management System • Assure compliance with Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and safety and environmental health manual • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the area of responsibility • Focus personally on continuous improvement • Other duties as assigned by the superior 3. Detailed job description: • Move product without damage to the boxes/product or company property. • Prepare shipments and receive incoming product daily. • Complete all assigned daily tasks in timely manner or time-given manner. • Move product per FIFO standards and to pre-designated location. • Product moves as needed and when needed • Cleanliness of forklift and company truck; daily checklist must be performed. (Material handler must ensure that the forklift is charged each night.) • Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others into daily activities. Follow safety rules as assigned by the company; understanding that seatbelts on PIT equipment is mandatory. • Responsible for the accuracy of checking in product from trucks and containers. • Responsible for the accuracy of pulling/staging/loading all assigned customer orders. • Remove product and stock bins per First In First Out (FIFO) procedure. • Ensure that 5S principles are maintained; aisles, docks, and entire warehouse area are clean and clear of clutter and debris. • Assure 100% inspection of incoming goods with documentation (actual vs. physical) • Ensure that all items are putaway in the designated location with proper tagging and labeling • Ensure that all parts that gets the proper postings and reposting as assigned • Ensure that picklists and order pulls are completed before/by the allotted cut-off times as as-signed by superior • Report all accidents and damages that occur immediately to superior • Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects company’s mission, philosophies, and core values of respect, excellence and stewardship 4. Technical requirements: • Fork lift experience (Minimum of 3-5 years sit-down and stand-up lift experience preferred) • Manufacturing warehouse experience needed. • Bending, standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds. • Will be in the plant – factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust an chemicals. (see MSDS). Required safety equipment must be worn at all times while in the plant. 5.
