Job Summary
Provides direct patient care by evaluating needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering appropriate therapeutic interventions. Manages a patient caseload that meets productivity expectations, sets and achieves functional goals, and updates treatment plans as patients progress. Educates patients, families, and other healthcare providers as needed.
**Job Responsibilities**
* Perform clinical patient care, including initiating and administering treatment and managing an appropriate caseload.
* Accurately evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Establish functional goals and update them as progress is made.
* Maintain clear and timely documentation, including daily notes and patient charges.
* Ensure charges accurately reflect time, procedures, and equipment used.
* Stay current with professional knowledge through continuing education and in-service participation.
* Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare staff, including home program instruction.
* Follow established guidelines for daily operations and assist lead therapists when needed.
* Organize daily schedules, prioritize tasks, and delegate appropriate responsibilities to support staff.
* Assist with orientation and training of new employees, students, observers, and volunteers.
* Exercise sound judgment in performing non-routine tasks under changing conditions.
* Collaborate with internal and external customers, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
**Required Skills & Experience**
* 0–6 months of related experience.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from patients and families.
* Ability to read and interpret professional literature and regulations.
* Basic computer proficiency for documentation and reporting.
* Strong reasoning skills and adaptability.
**Required Education**
* Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
**Required Certification & Licensure**
* Valid Oklahoma Physical Therapy license **or** Temporary Letter of Authorization.
* Current BLS certification.
