Job Summary:
This position provides comprehensive family medical services, including diagnosis, treatment, referrals, coordination of care, preventive care, health maintenance, and minor procedures. The provider delivers high-quality medical care in accordance with professional standards and best practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide quality outpatient care for scheduled and walk-in patients.
* Offer health maintenance, education, and disease prevention services.
* Counsel patients on preventive health and wellness practices.
* Review, sign, and follow up on lab, imaging, and specialist reports promptly.
* Prescribe medications according to state and professional guidelines.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immunizations, adult health maintenance, and clinic protocols.
* Participate in quality assurance, utilization review, provider meetings, and other professional activities.
* Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including appropriate coding.
* Provide supervision and support to mid-level providers as needed.
* Coordinate care with other primary and specialty services.
* Participate in rotating after-hours on-call coverage.
* Meet productivity and performance goals.
* Maintain all required licenses and certifications (prescriptive authority, OBNDD, DEA, BLS/CPR).
* Report complex cases or adverse outcomes to the Chief Medical Officer.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
* Complete assigned projects, committees, and other duties as required.
Qualifications:
* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
* Minimum of 2–4 years of experience preferred.
* Current BLS/CPR certification required.
* Experience working with high-risk or underserved populations preferred.
* Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
* Professional demeanor and adherence to confidentiality standards.
Working Conditions:
* Work performed in a clinical environment.
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
* Extended periods of sitting or standing; may require bending, stooping, or climbing stairs.
* Generally quiet environment.
* Occasional local or out-of-state travel for training or conferences.
* Some evening and weekend work may be required.
