Pediatric Medical Assistant
Broken Arrow, OK | Monday-Friday 8am-5pm | $18-$20/hour DOE | Temp-Perm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in delivering care to pediatric patients, from infants to adolescents. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, administering vaccines, assisting with procedures, and providing excellent communication and support to both children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for exams and procedures
Take and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, etc.)
Assist with vaccinations and basic clinical procedures
Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system
Support physicians and nurses during exams and treatments
Communicate clearly with parents and guardians about care instructions
Ensure a clean, child-friendly, and organized environment
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred, but not required
Experience working with children in a medical setting
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE GIVING PEDIATRIC PATIENTS IMMUNIZATION SHOTS
Basic knowledge of pediatric care and vaccination schedules
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
CPR/BLS certification required
