Bilingual Medical Front/Back Office Assistant
Ocala, FL | Temp-Perm | $17-$19/hour
Position Overview
- Dual role handling both clinical and administrative duties in a medical office. 
- Reports to the Office Manager and supports providers while ensuring positive patient experiences. 
- Safety-sensitive position involving direct patient care and possible medication administration. 
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Clinical Support - Greet, prepare, and document patient information in EMR (history, vitals, medications, allergies, etc.). 
- Assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments. 
- Perform clinical tasks such as administering oral/injectable meds, wound care, IV starts, and diagnostic tests (EKG, pulse oximetry, eye exams, etc.). 
- Conduct CLIA-waived lab tests, glucose checks, PT/INR testing, and specimen processing. 
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized exam area. 
- Provide patient education per provider direction. 
 
- Administrative / Front Office Duties - Handle phones, greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage check-in/out processes. 
- Verify insurance, process referrals, and manage prescription requests. 
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EMR. 
- Assist with proactive patient communication (reminders, follow-ups, care coordination). 
- Support supply inventory, ordering, and office medication management. 
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members. 
 
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. 
- Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Medical Assistant. 
- Certifications: CPR preferred; IV start and phlebotomy experience a plus. 
- Familiarity with EMR systems, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office. 
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and medical coding preferred. 
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) for patient communication.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $17–$19/hour
