Primary Responsibility: Help clients protect their assets and wishes through customized planning and to guide them through the legal processes of probate and estate administration.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Counsel clients on comprehensive estate plans tailored to individual and family needs.
• Draft and review wills, trusts (revocable, irrevocable, special needs), powers of attorney, advance directives, and related estate planning documents.
• Educate clients on estate planning options, including business succession, blended family dynamics, and asset protection strategies.
• Provide emergency and in-home estate planning services when necessary (including hospital, care facility, and home visits).
• Guide clients through the Oklahoma probate process, including the administration of estates, handling of creditor claims, and distribution of assets.
• Represent clients seeking adult and minor guardianships, preparing necessary pleadings and appearing in court.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Required OBA.
• 3 (+) years’ experience estate planning, probate, or related practice areas.
• Billable hour experience required.
• Strong interpersonal communication and client counseling skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
• Passion for helping families, seniors, and individuals navigate sensitive legal matters.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with Clio Legal Technology platform desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
