Key Responsibilities:


Patient Interaction:


Greet patients warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service.

Verify and update patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and contact information.

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments in a timely manner.

Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments, medical records, and general information.

Administrative Tasks:


Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.

Collect and process co-payments, outstanding balances, and insurance information.

Prepare and maintain patient charts and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.

Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and filed appropriately.

Insurance and Billing:


Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before patient appointments.

Assist patients with understanding their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.

Collaborate with billing department to resolve any insurance or billing issues.

Office Operations:


Maintain a clean and organized front office environment.

Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely service.

Assist in the ordering and stocking of office supplies as needed.

Compliance and Confidentiality:


Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and clinic policies regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.

Stay updated on industry standards and practices related to front office operations.


Qualifications:


High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus.

Proven experience in a medical front office or administrative role, preferably in an OB/GYN setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.

Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and office software.

Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
