Monday - Friday 8-5
Pay: Dependent on Experience, $16-$17.75/HR
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Obtain prior authorizations for any necessary special studies for all insurance using carrier-specific tools
Maintain a working knowledge of precertification requirements by payer, utilizing payer-specific websites
Review and analyze clinical data for pre-authorization request against medical terms and diagnosis or CPT codes
Verify eligibility and benefits for each special studies request
Responsible for entering detailed notes in the practice management system that pertain to special studies referrals and authorizations
