Summary:
Level one bench grinders/deburr operators perform finishing tasks on complex machined aerospace parts using a variety of tools. These individuals work under direct supervision to perform basic deburr operations such as edge breaking and simple surface finishing tasks. They will work with basic deburr tools. They will also work with pneumatic tools and use deburr pads to hand finish surfaces on parts. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Duties:
- Perform basic deburr operations on machined parts
- Utilize deburr tools and hand finishing techniques to work on machined parts
- Interpret and follow work orders and track necessary transactions in the ERP system
Required skills and experience:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- High level attention to detail
- Position requires the ability to lift 35 pounds
- One year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
