The machine operator is responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of material in the machining center to produce quality, precision machine parts that meet print and schedule requirements. Responsibilities and duties also include keeping area clean and organized and inspecting parts to assure quality processing.
Responsibilities:

Manually load/unload material to be machined
-
Inspect material between operations using thread gauges, go/no-go gauge, and calipers
-
Effectively monitor production equipment
-
Measure and inspect parts for quality assessment
-
Accurately enter data
-
Ensure that 5S at the Work Set Stations (WSS) is maintained
-
Performs daily duties and responsibilities without supervision
-
Meets or exceeds production standards
-
Adhere to safety requirements and ensure they are followed
Required Skills and Abilities:

Must have good math skills
-
Must read a tape and mics/calipers

Good analysis and problem-solving skills
-
Highly detailed
-
Mechanically inclined
-
Organized and disciplined
-
Analytical ability to read prints and adhere to specifications
-
Must be reliable and have a good work ethic
