2D Drafting Designer

As a 2D Drafting Designer, you’ll be working on innovative gas processing and refrigeration systems, including CO2 liquefaction and LNG plants. Your role will include designing complex diagrams that ensure efficient project execution, verifying field equipment, and collaborating with both internal teams and external customers.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled 2D Drafting Designer to support engineering design efforts for CO2 liquefaction and LNG processing systems. This role involves developing technical drawings such as P&IDs, one-line diagrams, and electrical schematics for gas processing and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data-driven P&IDs and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).

• Create electrical one-line diagrams, control/power panel schematics, and 2D layout drawings for field installations.

• Perform walkdowns of skids and equipment to verify and update drawings to match actual configurations.

• Participate in project coordination meetings with internal teams and external clients.

• Support process engineering deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.

• Prepare data sheets and component lists for mechanical procurement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D P&ID is required.

• AutoCAD Electrical experience is strongly preferred.

• Strong ability to interpret and generate ISA-compliant P&IDs and electrical symbols.

• Familiarity with data-driven drawing standards and company-specific design specs.

• Associate degree in Drafting & Design preferred, or 3+ years of relevant experience.

• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Additional Skills & Tools:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook).

• Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam Revu.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in electrical project design.

• Experience with 3D design software.

• Understanding of process design fundamentals.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D specifications is a plus.

• Experience managing design databases is a bonus.
