Human Resources Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay: $120,000 + DOE
Location: Decatur, Alabama
Position Summary:
Human Resource Manager Job Purpose: Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Job Description:

Updates job descriptions and requirements to maintain an accurate and effective organizational structure.

Supports staffing needs by developing and managing recruitment, testing, and interview programs; advises managers on candidate selection; conducts and analyzes exit interviews; and recommends improvements.

Prepares employees for success by organizing and leading orientation and training programs.

Oversees compensation strategies by conducting pay surveys, job evaluations, and preparing pay budgets; manages individual pay actions and recommends revisions to the pay structure as needed.

Supports performance management by training managers in coaching and disciplinary practices; facilitates management-employee discussions; resolves grievances and provides counseling.

Manages employee benefits programs by assessing needs and trends, recommending options to leadership, directing claims processing, evaluating bids, awarding contracts, and educating staff about available benefits.

Ensures compliance with federal and state HR regulations through regular monitoring, conducting internal investigations, maintaining documentation, and representing the organization in hearings.

Develops and updates HR policies and procedures to align with management guidelines and organizational goals.

Maintains accurate HR records through an organized system for filing and retrieval of historical and current data.

Stays current in the field by attending workshops, reviewing publications, building professional networks, and participating in industry associations.

Fulfills HR operational objectives by assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure successful outcomes.

Recruits, trains, and develops HR staff to support departmental goals.

Manages HR team performance through regular counseling, monitoring, and evaluations.

Contributes to overall organizational success by supporting related tasks and initiatives as needed.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study. PHR or SPHR certification a plus

8-10 years of Human Resources experience
