Jr. Analyst

 

Position Summary
 

Reporting to the SR Manager of Supply Chain, the Jr. Analyst will be responsible for analytics, general ledger, cost accounting, ERP maintenance, period close and reporting activities. The Jr. Finance Analyst will work closely with the SR Manager of Supply Chain Finance Manager, corporate accounting/finance team, hourly associates, and supply chain management. This is one of two similar positions in the Supply Chain Finance organization.

We use SAP for general ledger, purchase orders and accounts payable. Bills of materials, inventory ledger, and warehouse management are on other platforms.

 

Requirements

  

Duties/Essential Job Functions 

• Work with operations and finance to help develop the Annual Operating Plan and forecasts for all procurement, manufacturing, and distribution functions.

• Perform P&L analysis and determine ways to reduce operating cost.

· Analyzes financial data to identify current & future operating trends and to locate & resolve problem areas.

· Perform month end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

· Monitor and verify daily Inventory transactions for raw materials and finished goods.

· Establish and maintain standard costs/BOMs and perform product costings.

· Analyze monthly obsolete Packaging & Ingredient

· Analyze Product Cost Transfers

· Prepare accountability, yield, and utilization reports.

· Compile, analyze & report spend variances to department leadership.

· Develop strong personal and team relationships across a multitude of business stakeholders.

· Balance Sheet account reconciliation.

· Compile and analyze weekly & monthly operations reporting.

· Prepare federal, state & local government required filings.

· Develop & maintain KPI’s.

· Ad hoc analysis and reporting.

 

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution. (or still in school near completing degree in the next few months)

· Experience in Food & Beverage or manufacturing industry as an Accountant or Analyst a plus.

· Inquisitive nature with enthusiasm for querying, analyzing, and presenting data.

· Strong numerical/financial skill set and business acumen.

· The ability to influence cross-functional team members.

· Prefer experience with SAP, AS/400 applications, and report writer.

· Superior Excel and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

· Great attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently or as a team member.

· Self-starter with a sense of urgency and the ability to drive positive results in a complex and changing environment.

· Effective organizational and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage challenges professionally and effectively.

· Ability to work with accounting team members to achieve department goals and objectives.

 

Salary:

66,500-70,000
