We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Safe Operation: Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials and products within the facility, ensuring proper placement and organization.
Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by verifying quantities and locations of materials. Report any discrepancies to supervisors.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs. Report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
Adherence to Regulations: Comply with all relevant regulations and company policies governing the operation of forklifts, ensuring a secure and compliant working environment.
Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors regarding inventory levels, material movements, and any issues related to forklift operation.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality and integrity of materials and products being transported, and report any damaged or defective items.
Workspace Organization: Keep the forklift and work areas clean and organized, including proper storage of materials and equipment.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams to meet operational goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Forklift Certification: Valid forklift certification is recommended but not necessary.
Experience: Proven experience as a forklift operator, with a demonstrated ability to operate the equipment safely and efficiently.
Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety practices and the ability to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Attention to Detail: Precision in handling materials to avoid damage and maintain accurate inventory.
Communication Skills: Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
