We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Sales Manager – Unemployment Services to lead our business development efforts in the unemployment and workforce services sector. This role plays a critical part in expanding our market presence by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to employers, workforce development boards, and government agencies.
The ideal candidate will bring proven sales experience in HR tech, staffing, or unemployment services, and a passion for delivering value-driven solutions that help clients navigate complex workforce challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow market share in the unemployment and workforce services sector.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with employers, state agencies, workforce development boards, and government contractors.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Conduct client presentations, product demos, and solution consultations to highlight service value and capabilities.
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, and legal) to develop tailored proposals, RFP responses, and contract negotiations.
Accurately manage and report sales pipeline activities through CRM tools.
Monitor industry trends, policy updates, and market dynamics to stay ahead of the curve and identify strategic opportunities.
Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in unemployment services, workforce development, HR tech, or staffing solutions.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
Strong knowledge of unemployment programs, workforce development policies, or related government-funded services.
Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and navigating complex sales cycles.
Proficiency in CRM systems and sales productivity tools.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and conferences as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Background in working with state or federal government agencies.
- Prior experience in national sales roles within HR tech or unemployment services is highly desirable.
