JOB SUMMARY: Duties include cleaning and sanitizing all production machinery and equipment throughout plant including conveyor belts, screens, filters, fryers, pipes, walls, totes, rollers, tables, and freezers, and ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs and frequently lift or move up to 50lbs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Have a basic understanding of the GMPs and Food Security.

Notify Food Safety Manager and or Supervisor of any repairs or adjustments that are required.

Perform Basic Sanitation Functions.

Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company, HACCP, and SQF.

Notify Food Safety Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues.

Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
-
Identify problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the raw material, processes, quality system, or safety system, by performing Production/Quality Checks as assigned.
-
Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required as Essential

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
-
High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
-
Two (2) to five (5) years of manufacturing sanitation experience (preferred).

Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions (preferred).
-
Basic personal computer skills that include the ability to send/receive e-mail messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing (preferred).
-
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals (preferred).
-
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
-
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form (Preferred).
-
Familiarity with Lock-Out Tag-Out Authorized, Hot Work and Confined Space (Preferred).
-
Team oriented individual with the ability to work independently as needed with limited supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this position, the Operator is regularly required to, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.

The physical requirements of this position call for the ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed/required.

Temperature in the work area varies.

Environment and work areas can be warm, cool, wet and slippery.

Frequent use of hot/cold water to perform checks and clean equipment and areas.
Rate is base of $16.50 + .75 differential for the overnight shift, so $17.25.
