Job title Patient Service Tech

Talent Edge is currently recruiting for a Patient Service Tech for a local laboratory. The primary role of this position will be using the Laboratory Information System to enter patient demographics, billing information, client information, orders for test and ensure complete procurement, processing, testing and reporting results.


  • Enter demographics in the Laboratory Information system.

  • Manually confirm the identity of patients and documenting essential information to complete procurement, processing, and testing of specimens.

  • Executing venipuncture procedure including heel stick and finger stick techniques.

  • Greeting and assisting customers to provide general information

  • Maintaining an adequate inventor of supplies and discarding of all expired materials.

  • Registering nursing home or outpatients in the laboratory information system and processing these specimens quickly prior to testing.


Certificate in phlebotomy preferred

Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Basic keyboard/data entry skills required
