We are looking for an HVAC Installer to join our team! You will install, service, and repair heating and air conditioning systems.

Job Description:

With the oversight of the Field Foreman, the Journeyman/Installer/Tech shall conduct all field installation, repair and start up activities for commercial, industrial, manufacturing and institutional projects. Work with the Field Foreman to assure that projects adhere to established schedules and design specifications. Operate, maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, commercial refrigeration, chillers, air handlers, boilers and boiler room related equipment.

Work hours: Monday-Friday 6:00 am -2:30 pm, after hours and weekend availability as needed

Position Details:

  • Perform day-to-day installation and start up activities for services performed by company

  • Set air handlers and furnaces

  • Complete installation of branch runs

  • Basic knowledge and ability to run main trunk lines

  • Able to run a line set

  • Able to install and terminate exhaust fans

  • Able to run low voltage wiring

  • Able to seal duct work

  • Installs air and water filters.

  • Connects, adjusts, and troubleshoots temperature controls systems

  • Lubricates fans, motors, and control units

  • Ensures that quality standards are maintained for assigned projects

  • Maintains a professional attitude with the customer

  • Communicates daily Field Foreman on potential schedule delay’s and rework

  • Review new jobs with Field Foreman

  • Report damaged tools and materials to Field Foreman

  • Provide punch list or uncompleted items to the Field Foreman

  • Request shop fabrications through the Field Foreman

  • Report whereabouts and progress to the Field Foreman throughout the day

  • Flexible to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required

  • Troubleshooting

  • Complete internal & external inspections of boilers, burners, pumps, boiler rooms, chillers, HVAC and associated controls

  • Perform inspections and preventative equipment maintenance

  • Ensure compliance with company, industry and regulatory safety standards and protocols

  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in elevated temperatures (steam manholes), confined spaces and carry 50 pounds of equipment

  • Must have a valid driver’s license & good driving record

  • Must be able to read blueprints, interpret product specifications, and drawings

  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with a minimum of (1) year Experience and/or training in field operations of HVAC projects or related field.

  • Familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, control drawings, service bulletins, technical procedure manuals, equipment specifications, and governmental regulations

  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management.

 

Pay range is $28-$30 per hour, based on experience
