Job Description: Farm Mechanic Job Location: Moses Lake, WA Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Farm Mechanic to join a local farming operation in Moses Lake. This full-time position is ideal for someone experienced with repairing and maintaining older farm equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping farm machinery in top working condition, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment, and assisting with other farm-related tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities: • Diagnose and repair issues with older farm machinery, including tractors, plows, combines, and other equipment. • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, lubrication, and other preventative services to prolong the lifespan of farm equipment. • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and replace parts as necessary. • Assist with other farm duties as needed, including planting, harvesting, irrigation, and general farm upkeep. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. • Work closely with farm management to ensure equipment is ready for use during peak seasons. Qualifications: • Previous experience repairing and maintaining older farm machinery is required. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in varying outdoor conditions. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Compensation & Benefits: • Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience. • Full-time position (40 to 50 hours per week). • Opportunity for long-term employment with a local, established farm.
