JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced dispatcher to fill a dynamic roll in the trucking industry. Join our team and become a key player in logistics operations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
• Coordinate and manage the scheduling of trucks to ensure timely delivery of services
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and customers to set appointments and manage scheduling changes
• Utilize both phone and email to reach out to and respond to optimize delivery times and reduce delays
• Monitor routes and driver locations to optimize delivery times and reduce delays
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatch actions, driver schedules, and customer interactions
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
• Experience in dispatch, preferably with the trucking industry
• Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and communication
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
EQUIPMENT USE/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to use basic office equipment, must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 20lbs+
REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition
• Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel
• Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties
• Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time
• Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances
• Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment
WORKING CONDITIONS
WORK ENVIRONMENT Office Setting
HOURS / SHIFTS Day shift Sun-Thurs 9am-5pm or 10am-630pm (can be discussed at interview)
SALARY/BENEFITS $20-$25/hr. DOE
PPE/ATTIRE Will be provided if needed
