JOB TITLE Warehouse/General Labor JOB DESCRIPTION Total Employment and Management is hiring on behalf of a local client for a General Labor Clean Up Person position at a fertilizer company, with responsibilities including sweeping, shoveling, and cleaning. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES • Maintain a safe, clean work area • Sweep, clean and shovel fertilizer • Operate Skid Loader and Forklift when needed • Janitorial Duties • Go up and down ladders • Prepare pallets for palletizing • Be constantly alert to any unsafe work areas, working conditions, or unsafe personnel • Perform other duties as assigned • Comply with safety rules and regulations EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE • Previous experience in general labor or similar roles preferred but not required. • Experience operating forklift and skid loader equipment is a plus. • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. • Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills. • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. EQUIPMENT USE/PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 75 pounds etc.) • Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus. • Brooms, shovels, pressure washers • Forklift and Skid loader/Bobcat experience preferred REQUIREMENTS • Pre-Employment and Criminal Background Check • Must be 18 years or older. • Must be able to communicate in English- Speak, Read, and Write • Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays if required. • Positive attitude, team player, work as a team • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively. • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Reliable and Good attendance WORKING CONDITIONS WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to dust. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. This Job is deemed Safety Sensitive with duties and responsibilities that if performed while under the influence of drugs or alcohol could lead to a lapse of attention that could cause actual, immediate, and permanent physical injury or loss of life to the employee or others. HOURS / SHIFTS Normal Shift: 8:00am to 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch. Saturdays and OT must be approved by the supervisor. SALARY/BENEFITS $18.00/hr. PPE/ATTIRE Steel Toe Boots required- PPE will be provided. Must always wear jeans and long sleeves. OTHER Show up 15 minutes before the work shift
