Maintenance Technician OVERVIEW: • Hours: 6AM - 4PM • Training Schedule: 5 days / week • Normal Schedule: rotation of 4 days on / 3 days off. JOB SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines by performing the following duties. Pay depends on experience. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:. • Under general supervision, repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery (i.e. mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, conveying systems, etc.) using blueprint and schematic drawings to ensure equipment is performing safely to required specifications • Identify unsafe conditions and corrects; reports to appropriate personnel if unable to correct on own • Uses forklifts and or heavy equipment machinery to repair and or replace overhead equipment items, as well as replacement of light bulbs and or lighting units as needed. • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all equipment up to applicable code. • Maintains adequate supplies for necessary repairs and maintenance by informing supervisors or maintenance lead of need. • Responsible for minimizing loss and maximizing egg quality and production efficiency within scope of position by performing routine start-up procedures. • Consistently follows LOTO procedures. • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills • Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated is required • Intermediate math and computer skills • Ability to read tape measure, transfer and figure angles • Ability to operate/use basic hand, power tools, welder (stick, MIG, TIG), plasma cutter and acetylene torch set • Ability to occasionally lift 75 pounds • Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character Job Type: Full-time
