Boring Mill Operator
Schedule: 1st or 2nd shift available
1st shift: Monday- Friday 5am-1:30pm
2nd shift: Monday- Friday 2pm-10:30pm
Pay: $25-30/ hour with weekly pay
Location: Temperance MI
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Boring Mill Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up, operating, and maintaining Mill machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong focus on quality and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must be able to perform, but not limited too, the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring
• Machining tooling, components, parts, as required per specifications
• Maintain clear working area and perform assigned machine maintenance as required
• Understand, adhere, and machine accurately to print tolerances and finish requirements
• Work with programmers and other department members to improve process, tooling selection, and setup
• Capability to determine tooling condition, and determine if the tooling is running efficiently
• Deburr part, tap holes properly, ensure threads are correct and proper depth engagement, and part is cleaned
before moving to next operation
• Troubleshoot any issues/nonconformance that arises. Start Nonconformance report when required
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with numerically controlled machine operation
• Experience with manual machine operation
• Read and interpret prints accurately
• Excellent working knowledge of machining processes and in-depth understanding of tool and die manufacturing
• Knowledge of machining, tool & die, modeling, programming, die cast process
• Good understanding of similar industrial practices (electrical, plumbing, hydraulics)
• 2-5 years experience with CNC machining
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
