Now Hiring: Industrial Painter/Sandblaster – Erie, MI – 1st Shift – $18/hr

An industrial painting facility in Erie, Michigan is seeking a reliable and motivated Painter/Sandblaster to join their 1st shift team. This is a full-time, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment focused on painting and sandblasting of industrial tanks.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Starting Pay: $18/hour
Location: Erie, MI

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform industrial painting using spray guns and other equipment.
• Conduct sandblasting/abrasive blasting to prepare surfaces for coating.
• Use proper techniques for surface preparation, priming, and finishing.
• Operate and maintain painting and blasting equipment.
• Safely work on ladders (up to 10 feet) to reach and paint tall items.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear provided PPE (respirator, safety glasses, etc.) as work is done in a dusty environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint booth and work area.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience painting, especially industrial spray painting, preferred.
• Experience with sandblasting or abrasive blasting is a strong plus.
• Ability to handle physically demanding work, including forceful handling of hoses and sandblasting guns.
• Comfortable working in a dusty environment with proper protective equipment.
• Must pass a 5-panel drug screen (clear background required).
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
• No beard or facial hair as employees must wear respirator mask when painting/blasting.
