Lab Tech

Local Optical Company seeking detail oriented and motivated employee to be a lab tech in their finishing department

Schedule:

-Monday- 9:30am-6:30pm

-Tuesday- 10am-6pm

-Wednesday- 10am-6pm

-Thursday- 10:30am-6pm

-Friday- 6:30am-6pm

Pay: $16/hr.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

-Receives requests for quotations, Rx & Stock orders, and information from customers.

-Makes quotations on standard items, writes/prepares for order entry, and relays pertinent information to customers.

-Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL is a MUST

Summery:

Employees will be working in the lab and receiving work tickets with lens specifications. They will then be preparing lenses in accordance with the work order. Orders include a series of numbers, must be detail oriented and able to read/match sequences of numbers in order to prepare lenses to proper specifications. Could be doing various tasks to prepare lenses such as washing, replacing, setting up equipment for daily operations, equipment clean up at end of day, preparing solutions for lenses, calibrating equipment, adhering to lab policies, and assisting other departments to meet deadlines. This position requires standing/sitting and using hands to handle objects, tools or controls. Required to be able to lift 50lbs or more.
