Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and construct industrial equipment and mechanical machine parts and systems. Posses current knowledge of journeyman electrician and journeyman machinery mechanic. Must posses an excellent working knowledge of NEC and NFPA-70E to create a safe work environment; check out and troubleshoot electric circuits including operation and function of typical electrical and mechanical devices on machinery. Ability to set and coordinate over-current protective devices, size feeder circuits and work on systems up to and including 600 Volts safely.
Competencies:
Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting to include but not limited to: repair, install and construction of industrial electrical equipment and systems found in an industrial & construction environment through proper uses of standard wire, conduit, fittings and hardware commonly found in industrial plants.
Read and understands conduit drawings, schematics, architectural drawings and specs.
Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction, such as hydraulic/electric benders, knockout punch sets, cable puller, megger, volt meters, multi-testers and ammeters and all mechanical tools.
Bend, cut, thread and install conduit.
Install and terminate wiring per NEC and NFPA-70E, which requires the use of compliant PPE and Arc-Flash protection.
Accountable for testing, troubleshooting, setting machine systems, while working with protective relay logic and motor control circuits.
Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting to include but not limited to: repair, install and construction of industrial electrical equipment and systems found in an industrial & construction environment through proper uses of standard wire, conduit, fittings and hardware commonly found in industrial plants.

Additional Electrical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits including the operation and function of typical electrical devices and machinery, such as solenoids, relays, motors, transformers, switches, motor control centers, generators, batteries, lighting systems, as well as, mechanical knowledge of pumps, bearings, fans, conveyors, plumbing and rotary equipment up to 150 hp.
- Review work orders and discuss work with site manager(s) as well as PM's.
- Advise on work performed, general equipment condition and future repair requirements including report writing.
- Demonstrate ability to create and maintain a safe working environment through the use of PPE, Energy Control (Lockout/Tagout) and good housekeeping.
- Demonstrate ability to work well in a multidiscipline team environment.
- Welding and fabrication skills a plus
- Able to follow instructions provided verbally and in writing.
