Local Recycling Plant looking for experienced Electrician
Pay: $30/hr
Hours: Monday-Friday 5AM- 3:30PM with 3-4 Saturdays a month 5AM-1PM. Overtime pay included in all hours worked past 40/week.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Read, understand, troubleshoot, and perform electrical work from electrical schematics
· AC volt motor control circuits experience
· DC motors and controls
· Variable frequency drives
· Soft start AC drives
· 120, 240, and 480 Vac
· Zero speed switches, motion detectors, level controls, shunts, current transformers, and all 110 Vac and below input devices used for control, etc.
· Be familiar with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and the use of a laptop for troubleshooting equipment issues
· Perform ground tests and evaluate, repair, and maintain a good grounding system
· Have a full understanding of all electrical systems and be able to maintain in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the current National Electrical Code
· Operate all job-related equipment
· Work from and modify wiring diagrams, sketches, catalogs, and parts lists
· Efficiently inspect equipment that has failed, diagnose the problem, and come up with a safe repair in a timely manner
· Ability to run and install conduit
· Safety rules and regulations, good housekeeping, and clean-up procedures must be followed
· Understand and follow RRT and OSHA safety standards and procedures
· Ability to perform work with minimum supervision, safely work alone or in a team environment, flexible to work on a cross functional team.
· Able to work weekends and callouts when required
