Maintenance Technician
Description
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and construct industrial equipment and mechanical machine parts and systems.
- Check out and troubleshoot electric circuits including operation and function of typical electrical and mechanical devices on machinery.
- Review work orders and discuss work with site manager(s) as well as PM's.
- Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment industrial construction
- Bend, cut, thread and install conduit.
- Install and terminate wiring per NEC and NFPA-70E
- Accountable for testing, troubleshooting, setting machine systems
- Report Writing
Requirements
- Read and understands conduit drawings, schematics, architectural drawings and specs.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits including the operation and function of typical electrical devices and machinery, such as solenoids, relays, motors, transformers, switches, motor control centers, generators, batteries, lighting systems, as well as, mechanical knowledge of pumps, bearings, fans, conveyors, plumbing and rotary equipment up to 150 hp.
A current knowledge of journeyman electrician and journeyman machinery mechanic.
An excellent working knowledge of NEC and NFPA-70E to create a safe work environment;
- Demonstrate ability to create and maintain a safe working environment through the use of PPE, Energy Control (Lockout/Tagout) and good housekeeping.
- Demonstrate ability to work well in a multidiscipline team environment.
- Able to follow instructions provided verbally and in writing.
