Stamping Press Technician

Education and Experience

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.  Basic Computer Skills.

Preferred:  One year experience in stamping press set-up.

Physical Demands

This position is very active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and squatting.  The employee may be required to do heavy lifting up to 40 pounds depending on the job.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to hot/cold temperatures, concrete floors and the noise level can be loud. (PPE is provided)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set Up Tooling/Press. 
• Run first work piece and verify dimensional tolerance.
• Perform typical press operations and/or instruct operators to perform typical press operations
• Monitor operators, production, quality and safety.  Ensure all employees in the work center adhere to all rules and company policies.
• Detect and report equipment failures, damage, and defective or questionable materials to the supervisor
• Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow safety rules.  
• Ensure there are no safety violations in the work center at any time with employees and equipment.
