Staff Management Group is seeking a Compounder for our client in Randolph, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.


Schedule

  • 1st shift: 7:30AM - 4PM
  • Plus Overtime


Pay Rate

  • $35 / hour


Job Summary

The Compounder is responsible for the preparation and mixing of raw materials to create various compounds or mixtures used in manufacturing processes.


Job Responsibilities

  • The compounder will be responsible for pre-weighing all chemicals that are required in batches.
  • Pull all raw material by First In First Out (FIFO).
  • Verify and document all lot numbers that are being consumed in batch.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely on the batch record.
  • Blend ingredients per the given formula so that finished product will meet customer requirements.
  • Produce bulk with use of a multiple phase batch making process.
  • Record all production data on batch records inclusive of raw materials used, quantities and time intervals.
  • Collect product samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis and testing.
  • Management of product waste and proper disposal.
  • Clean and sanitize compounding vessels per SOP’s.
  • Follow all cGMP and written procedures.
  • Ensures timely completion of work.
  • Responsible for adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Works to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Addresses complaints and problems, elevates to Leadership when needed.
  • Ensures proper PPE’s and Safety procedures are followed.


Job Requirements 

  • Highschool or GED equivalent combination, required.
  • Previous experience in blending creams or lotions, required.
  • 3 years of experience in production, warehouse, or related supply chain function, required.
  • Standup Forklift experience, required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred
  • Working knowledge of ERP or MRP related software, preferred
  • Basic comprehension of the English language: reading and writing skills to understand and complete necessary paperwork, required


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch. Raise and lower an object from one level to another, less than 30 lbs. Good (corrected) eyesight and hand/eye coordination. Works in office area as well as warehouse and has exposure to production area – employee will be exposed to moving hilo traffic and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust and weather conditions prevalent at the time (cold, hot/humid).
