Job Summary
The Compounder is responsible for accurately preparing and mixing raw materials to produce various compounds used in the manufacturing process, following all safety and production protocols.
Job Responsibilities
- Pre-weigh chemicals required for each batch according to specified formulas.
- Retrieve raw materials using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
- Confirm and log all lot numbers of raw materials used in production.
- Follow batch record instructions with precision.
- Combine ingredients according to formula specifications to meet production and quality standards.
- Execute multi-phase batch processes to produce bulk product.
- Accurately document all production data, including materials used, quantities, and processing times.
- Collect product samples and prepare them for lab testing and quality analysis.
- Handle and dispose of product waste following company procedures.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and vessels as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere strictly to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and written protocols.
- Complete all tasks within designated timeframes.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the improvement of the quality management system by supporting the quality policy, objectives, audits, data analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Address product issues or complaints and escalate to supervisors as needed.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety protocols.
Job Requirements
- MUST be bilingual - English and Spanish
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience blending creams or lotions required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in production, warehousing, or a related supply chain role required.
- Experience operating a stand-up forklift required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures closely.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
- Preferred experience using ERP or MRP systems.
- Must be able to read and write in English to complete documentation accurately
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Must regularly walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, kneel, and crouch.
- Ability to lift and lower objects up to 30 lbs.
- Requires good, corrected vision and hand-eye coordination.
- Work is performed in both office and warehouse settings, including exposure to production areas.
- Environment may include moving forklifts, mechanical equipment, dust, and varying weather conditions (heat, cold, humidity).
